Anyone who has stayed at Diamond J Farm has watched the on-going transformation of this wonderful old farmhouse. Built in 1935, it sits on 13 acres of what used to be vegetable gardens, cow and horse pastures. The barn is still standing (barely!) and remnants of the chicken coops are evident in the woods. The stone canning house is still filled with hundreds of jars of canned fruits and vegetables. Thank goodness the old out-house has been replaced! |

The kitchen is fully equipped with ice-maker, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Of course all utensils, dinnerware and cooking items are included. We kept the kitchen table set that came with the house because it brings back such fond memories of the '50's. |

Outside on the deck is a terrific, large hot tub with wonderful views, plenty of open space to see the stars at night and enjoy the warm glow from the firepit. One of the best spots on the farm is the view from the front porch. Early mornings you'll watch as the mist rises from the meadows. The evenings will enchant you with fireflies dancing across the fields. You will forget how hectic life can be when everything here is so tranquil. Careful, you just might spend most of your time out there!

New decking has been added to make living outdoors more comfortable. There is a gas grill, picnic table and a fire-pit to enjoy while lounging in the hot-tub.
No matter where you look, you'll see beautiful mountain vistas.

The canning house has been used for 70 years to house all the fruits and vegetables grown right on the farm. All the jars you see have been there for over 30 years, don't think I'd want to give them a try!! But they sure look good!!
